WEATHER PERMITTING!!
Grades 3 and younger can dress to get messy while we explore open-ended art outdoors! We will paint, make mud sculptures, throw paint balls, spray paint and more! Please dress your child to get messy from her toes to her nose. If your child is free to get dirty, he will be free to be creative!
What is open-ended art? It is when the end product is open to the creativity and imagination of the creator! It focuses on the process and NOT the end product. There are no instructions, no right or wrong- only freedom to imagine, create, color, express and be oneself! Parents must try to resist the temptation to correct or direct the child's expression. There are no lines to color within or product that looks like the sample. Open-ended art builds self-esteem and confidence as well as problem-solving skills.
